For Easter this year, Joe and I decided to decorate an Easter tree. We have a cute little ornamental peach tree just outside the back door. We hung several Easter goodies and a bunch of plastic eggs filled with candy from the branches. It looked so cute when we were done. I even remembered to check the weather and make sure it wasn't going to rain all over everything. When we all went out to the tree the next morning, there was NO candy left on the tree! It had all been unwrapped and eaten... stupid raccoon. Ah, well. At least it was memorable.
Aiden is a little hard to understand in the video, because he was understandably upset. But, try to keep an ear out for these two fantastic phrases: "There are too many Easter animals around here!" and "The Easter animals ate all my very own Peeps!"

NunSense Pics
My mom took some pictures after closing night. I thought I'd share some of them here. This is the whole cast! With only 5 roles, no one had a small part. I had a great time and made some wonderful friends. Maybe I'll even do it again in the fall :-)
All 5 nuns: Sis. Leo, Reverend Mother, Sis. Amnesia, Sis. Hubert, Sis. Robert Anne |
Here is our band. They were totally awesome (even though there were only 4 of them). |
Sis. Hubert (me) and Dad after the show. |
Sis. Mary Leo (Nina) and her school friends. |
Sis. Mary Amnesia (Larren) and her parents. |
Sis. Mary RobertAnne (Celeste). She is the rebel of the show. |
Sis. Mary Hubert (me) and Reverend Mother (Cheryl) with Candace (our music director and main keyboard player for the show) |
New Bike
I'm going to try uploading video from our camera. Here is a little clip of Aiden riding his new bike. If you listen very carefully, you can hear him making his own soundtrack as he rides.

Cloning???
Spring is Here!
The past month or two have been really crazy for our house. I was able to be in my first ever stage production. Our local university produced a performance of Nunsense and auditions were open to the public. I got the role of Sister Hubert (mistress of novices). It was fantastic and I'm looking forward to being able to do more stuff. Hopefully I'll get some pics of that posted later. I don't have any right now. I was too busy to take pics, so I'm depending on the charity of others. :-)
Just before performance week, Aiden went on a two week vacation to my parents' house. While there, he got a new bicycle. He's been practicing a lot and has gotten really good at riding it.

Christmas 2010
Since it's Easter time, I thought I'd post some pics from last Christmas! Well, I'm not as far behind as I was last time :-)
Our library hosts breakfast with Santa every year. The room was packed full and after breakfast, Santa arrived to take letters and listen to special wishes!
As everyone probably knows, this was the winter of snow, snow, and more snow. Here are some pics of our first real snow of last winter.
OK! Back to Christmas!

Aiden didn't want to tell Santa what he wanted because he had already written it in his letter. |
Each child was given an ornament with their name on it to take home. |

This is our front yard. The driveway is completely buried. |
This is our back yard. Aiden loves the swing set and slide that came with the house. |
Aiden said the snow tasted really good. |
This was the first of many snow angels last winter. |
Of course, there must be snowball fights! |
OK! Back to Christmas!
Santa delivered lots of fun treats in the stockings (even for the cats). |
Our good friends loaned us a full sized tree, which was good considering how much stuff had to go under it! |
Of course, it snowed on Christmas. Here is a nice shot of the front of the house. See, we really do have a driveway! |
